 Scott's Kitchen and Catering at Hangar 29 was founded by pitmaster Scott Umschied, who started competing on the local Kansas City Barbeque Society (KCBS) circuit in 2009 before opening his permanent restaurant in 2017. While the restaurant itself is widely celebrated—recently ranked as a top-rated KC barbecue spot on Yelp—it is built on fantastic menu choices including authentic flavors and techniques, side dishes which are prepared fom scratch, customers love their tender briskets, burnt ends, pulled pork and chipolte ghost peppers and their catering experience and service is Top Notch!
